| 1... It was a dark and cold morning when the postman
arrived with a long very thin, parcel....."what was this?" Miss Ruffle
thought, as the "Bear Lady " took the package to the table. Miss Ruffle was
more than interested as she carefully helped to lift a bandaged
sausage from the depths of the box...."this could be a very exciting
package" she thought in her pretty little head. |

2... Having taken one of the bandages of a rather
grubby little head.. there before her she thought was the most beautiful,
handsome, but quite frankly "scruffy", little bear she had ever seen...but
those eyes...oh...those eyes..! She started to feel faint.. her pulse was
racing... |

| 3... Having carefully unwrapped him , (with a little
help) , she could not believe her luck HE WAS GORGEOUS! But as she
laid him gently in her arms she started to realise he was not quite what she
had pictured in her mind as "the one"...yes he was handsome, yes he was the
right age...but ..those holes.. he had no mouth...no nose....and worse of
all , he was pitifully thin and was much to both of their
embarrassment......leaking! |

4... She gathered him up tightly in her paws,
wondering if her friends would approve? Maybe this was not what everyone had
expected, what would Gallileo, Connery , Crosby and the other bears think of
her choices.. she just had to go with her heart. |
