Upstairs in the bear room, Miss
Ellie was packing.. she had heard quite enough and was seething with envy at
Raffles announcing his undying love for that Ruffles thing….grrrrr….In her
anger, she started stuffing Miss Ruffle’s dresses one by one into her
case…I’ll have that one.. and that one.. and those shoes…and her purse.. and

37... She had been so greedy, that the
case, no matter how hard she bounced, no matter how much she squished. .just
would not shut….she jumped one more time and click. Job done! |

38... Having asked rabbit for a lift and having
being politely declined, she stood waiting on the step, hoping that some
passing traffic would notice her and offer her a lift to…well… …ANYWHERE…she
could stay not a minute longer. She waited.. and waited.. but all the cars
just drove on by not noticing the forlorn little bear on the cottage step. |

Miss Ruffle and
Raffle came to the door. “No hard feelings Miss Ellie” called Miss
Ruffle.”.it just was not meant to be….safe journey, be happy”. Raffles
slipped a comforting arm around Miss Ruffle’s waist and gave a gentle
squeeze. “ Don’t fret Miss Ruffle, all will be well. She will find her place
in the world, she is off to a bear fair on Sunday in Birmingham, with the
bear Lady They are meeting up there to see if she can find herself a new
house to live in. I am sure she will find her man…you wait and see” .Then
under his breath, with out Miss Ruffle hearing, he muttered to himself.. ”she’ll
find someone.. she has great legs….. |
